Share Savings Account

A Share Savings Account is your primary savings solution at the Credit Union. A $5 opening deposit establishes member-ownership in the Credit Union. Members earn a quarterly dividend on their Share Savings Account balance. This account is your passport to all financial products and services at the Credit Union.

Share Certificates of Deposit

These timed deposits earn higher dividends based on the length of the term. Unlike many financial institutions, there is only a $500 minimum deposit and the principal and dividends are guaranteed.  For our Youth Investors members, the minimum deposti is $200.00 and the principal and dividends are guaranteed.  Click here for Share Certificate of Deposit rates and terms.

Vacation Club

Saving for a special trip or project over your summer break? A Vacation Club Account ensures that you are prepared for fun in the sun or a beautiful, new home renovation. With a monthly allotment from your direct deposit, you will be set to sail the Caribbean, trek through Europe or create an oasis in your backyard. Holiday Club

Are you always charging up your high-rate credit cards around the holidays? Plan ahead with a Holiday Club Account. This goal-oriented savings account features unlimited deposits, and dividends become available the first business day in October thru the end of December without penalty, just in time for holiday shopping. Summer Reserve Savings                                                                                                           

This account is set up for those, with a loan, who are paid 10 or 11 months out of the year. You put a little aside during the year to cover loan payment(s) for the month(s) you are not paid. (No withdrawals allowed).

Delayed Payment Savings

This account is great for those paid 10 or 11 months out of the year who have summer expenses to worry about but no monthly paycheck to pay for them. Plus, you can earn dividends on this account. **fee applies for early withdrawals**

Youth Investors

Your children and grandchildren need to know the value of saving, spending and sharing at an early age. We have designed three account types to meet the needs of each child as they grow and mature. The Spare Change Account is designed for our youngest members, age 4 to 7. Spare Change members receive a special ‘change box’ that helps them learn the value of budgeting by dividing the money into save, share and spend sections while also gaining access to Googolplex’s “5 Spot” and entry in contests designed just for our youngest youth investors. For middle school students, our Capital Builders Club offers everything they will need to successfully budget and establish a strong and promising financial future. Capital Builders receive incentives for good grades, reaching their savings goals, certificate of deposit specials and an all access pass to Googolplex’s “A.J’s” that offers answers for financial questions and situations that they might experience.

From buying a new car, preparing for the prom, wanting a new computer or saving for college, our Financial Freedom Club provides many options to help high school and college students budget, save and spend wisely while helping them accomplish their financial goals. The Financial Freedom club enables you to take advantage of a checking account with a debit card, certificate of deposit specials, access to Googolplex’s “C-Note”, an on-line financial reference, a fixed, low interest credit card and some of the lowest loan rates in the Hampton Roads area. The credit union will also offer special seminars on financial aid and how to be financially prepared for college.
