Credit Union History

The Hampton Roads Educators' Credit Union charter was granted on March 10, 1954. Our field of membership includes those engaged in (as students or employees) or retired from educational services in the cities of Hampton, Poquoson, Williamsburg,; and the counties of James City, Gloucester, Mathews, Middlesex, Isle of Wight, Surry; Thomas Nelson, New Horizons and the Gloucester Municipal Employees.

Our primary goal is providing high quality, professional service to our members. Where service, thrift, and financial stability are proven benefits and where "people helping people" is more than a slogan; it's our way of doing business.
